Global Employer Thought Leader Summit

We recently returned from Israel where we were honored to chair the first ever Employer Thought Leader Summit in Israel, sponsored by MASA Israel Career Programs..  The summit brought together recruiting heads and leaders from major U.S. and Global employing organizations to engage in a week of meetings, forums, conferences and roundtables that focused on best practices on global recruiting and internships.  As we learned from our meeting with Saul Singer, one of  the authors of "Start-Up Nation", Israel is a unique society that has cultivated an entrepreneurial work culture and made it a leading source of start up companies and social entrepreneurship.  It is also a country that has many employers and government agencies  assessing and possibly re-thinking the concept of internships and the meaningful contributions they can make in a variety of work settings.  While we were there with senior representation from organizations including:  Ernst & Young, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Cisco, Teach for America and Whirpool to name a few, we met with Israeli fellows, employers and government officials and spoke at two conferences.  It was an amazing trip on so many levels.  If you are interested in learning more about the  Employer Thought Leader Summit, here are a few links to articles that discuss the project:
